This DMX512 decoder adopts advanced micro control unit, it can receive standard digital control signal of DMX-512 which is widely used internationally. It changes the signal to PWM control signal to activate the LED lamp. It can also connect the DMX digital console to change the light or each dynamic effect. Additionally, when the decoder is not connected to the DMX console, it can be used as a synchronous controller. That is to say, you can synchronously control the number of decoders and LED lights.
This product conforms to DMX512 protocol and compatible automatic addressing address and manual setting address.
Each universal DMX controller takes 3 DMX addresses. It adopts 2 ways (automatic addressing and code switch) to configure the address. When adopting auto-index addressing, all switches are “turned off”. When adopting the code switch to configure the address, the 10th bit(FUN) is “off”, and the other 9 bits are binary value code switches which are used to configure the address code of DMX start. The first bit is the lowest order bit, and the ninth is the highest order bit. Who can configure 511 address codes. The DMX start address code is equal to the sum of 1st to 9th bit. If you move down a code switch bit (“ON” set “1”), you can get the square-value of that bit. If move up (set “0”), the place value is 0. For example: if you want to configure the DMX start address code for 73, you need to move down the 7th, 4th and 1st bit code switch for “1”, and others for “0”, then the sum of the location value from 1st to 9th bit is 64+8+1. That is, the DMX512 starting address code is 73.
